We are all excited about the full reopening of gyms and fitness hubs, and none more so than Gain Line in Ascot. Green & Partners acted for Gain Line gym in their recent relocation to a former storage unit within Ascot Racecourse. We worked closely with the client – gym owner Danny Pyatt - to understand the business’ needs and timings which evolved due to the lockdown and government restrictions on the leisure sector, and we are delighted to have played a part.
The letting reflects our ability to understand and deliver a clients’ requirements while reacting to external factors. It also shows that despite the issues the leisure and retail market faces, strong brands providing high quality expertise can flourish. In this instance, upsize to meet growing demand for membership and for a community fitness hub.
Danny Pyatt and his six coaches adapted to lockdown by offering virtual gym classes and loaning all of their exercise equipment to their 100 members to help them continue their fitness regimes at home. With a list of new members waiting to join the gym, Danny took the opportunity whilst the gym was closed to find a new location with more space.
Danny said “We had reached capacity at our old unit and with a waiting list of members we needed more room. With the help of Green & Partners, Ascot Racecourse, our loyal members and lots of grit and vision we turned a cold and empty shed into a state-of-the-art CrossFit gym with a large training area, multiple changing and shower facilities, personal training studio and social area.”
The new location is almost triple the size of the gym’s last home in South Ascot and includes a dedicated Olympic weightlifting platform, strength training equipment, gymnastic facilities, space for coached classes and one-to-one training, and a breakout area for members to socialise and have a coffee.
The Green & Partners team look forward to visiting in and getting over the gain line!
